NetworkChuck recommends segregating yout IoT devices on their own network, but I suggest going further. One network for your core devices. A second for IoT. A third for guests and if you work in IT like me and work at home, a fourth network that also has VPN access to the office.

Using a mixture of character types in your passwords and regularly changing passwords are officially no longer best password management practices according to new guidelines published by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
